Eddie Palmieri, huh? Very cool. I hope he's with a biggish band... |

I actually hope Eddie is with a small group - it's just more opportunity to hear him play and stretch... I'm looking forward to the Bad Plus, although they are starting to sound a bit complacent at times. |

That's great news. I really wish SOPAC the best of luck, and intend to personally support it quite a bit. |

Yeah, but I still don't see any of the upcoming shows listed on SOPAC's website. Instead, I get this: "When SOPAC events are scheduled, you will find 24-hour access to performance dates, times, ticket packages, modes of purchase, ticket prices, artist information and more! SOPAC's online box office will let you buy tickets on your own schedule, when it is convenient for you. Should you prefer to buy tickets in person, traditional box office operating hours will be listed here as well." OK, how about it Jamie? What's the diplomatic way to light a fire under the SOPAC webperson's *** to get the site updated, for reasons of both (A)pure info value and (2)common sense PR value? I mean, sheesh, even if the stoopid "Box Office" S/W isn't up yet (and regardless of how much money SOPAC's Development Specialist has or has not brought in thus far), how hard can it be to post a new show to a page whenever one's added? ...Probably the job of one of us layabout volunteers, too... -s. BTW: Richie Havens was the top of the bill for one of S.O.'s early Arts in the Park Free July Concerts on Flood's Hill. He's practically a resident! |
