I know a few people responded to the thread Culture for the Uncultured a month and a half ago. The thread is here /discus/messages/3128/105483.html?1142107086 That was my wife. We are both Maplewood / South Orange raised, and now married. We moved to Keansburg, which does lack some of the things we were used to living in South Orange and Maplewood. So we started an arts council with some friends to bring some culture into the area. We have our first event lined up, and are very excited about it. I thought I would extend the invitation to people on this board as well. I know SoOrLady will be there, because she is my Mom and she has to go! lol.. Our first event will be starring Daniel Reichard one of the stars from Jersey Boys performing a history of Broadway, and finishing the night with a few songs from Jersey Boys. The event will be on Monday May 22nd at 8:00 PM You can visit our website (that I am still in the process of designing) http://www.keansburgarts.com Tickets are $25 and $50 for premium seats. Starbucks is donating coffee after the show. If any of you are interested, let me know... tickets will be available soon.

JMF - Congratulations and best of luck in bringing Culture to The Uncultured. It is a worthwhile cause! I recommend karoake night once or twice a month, with SoOrLady headlining. She's awesome! Oh wait! That's not terribly cultured is it??

Yes, congratulations, JMF and Mrs JMF. I'll be there. Maybe I'll carpool with SoOrLady. I hope this is the beginning of a renaissance for Keansburg. I love the magnificent view of the Raritan Bay and NYC from the Keansburg beaches. I hope you have a wonderful turnout for the event!
