I didn't see that coming, either, but we all should have. They followed the formula of making you like a character and then.....you know the rest. In retrospect, everything Michael told the Lostaways was fiction. He is making them think that the Others are weak and primitive. Kate and, especially, Claire (wherever she is) should be able to set them straight, but we all know that the Lostaways don't talk. |

Big Poppa, I was going to start a thread with the exact same words. As soon as Michael said "I'm sorry" to Ana Lucia I said "no way!". I think the others told Michael to get "Henry Gale" out of there or they would kill Walt, or something to that effect. Friggin' awesome. Maybe this whole Dharma thing has to do with Jack's father who seems to have met several of the other castaways... |

Wendyn, I was thinking the same thing, but then didn't Michael end up shooting "Henry Gale" at the end? I thought I heard another gunshot to close out the epidsode. |

Nope, he shot his own arm, presumably to look like Henry shot it when he was escaping. I'm guessing he'll blame the Ana & Libby shootings on Henry as well. I don't think Libby is dead as he shot her right in the blanket she was holding. Plus in the previews Kate says "she's dead". |

I don't believe Hurly's love interest (Liz?) ever had flashbacks so I'm wondering if she's a closet other. |

She didn't have a flashback but she was in one of Hurley's when they showed her at the same institution he was staying in. |

That's why she had a concerned look when Hurley told her "maybe if I get drunk I'll remember from where I know you" |

Exactly. She knows how Hurley knows her, but Hurley does not. The connection with Jack's father was interesting. So far he has met Ana-Lucia and Sawyer. And he has a daughter in Sydney?????? It didn't occur to me that the Others had made that threat to Michael. I only thought he had been brainwashed or indoctrinated or something along those lines. What Wendyn said makes sense. It does look like, based on previews, that Michael shot himself in the arm (his arm was in a sling) and that one of the women dies. I have a feeling it is Ana-Lucia, though, and not Libby. Very, very suspenseful. And very clever of A-L to hook up with Sawyer to get his gun. Saw it coming, but clever nonetheless. |

I don't think Libby's dead. Hurley has to eventually remember where he knows her from, etc. etc. Plus, she has to tell everyone what happened - in next week's preview you see Michael locked in the same room Henry Gale was in. Michael shot his own arm - in next week's preview you see his arm is wrapped. I wasn't exactly sure why Locke lied for AL when jack asked her what happened to her head. I guess that was the setup for her death? Great episode! I hope they keep them comin' at that rate - this season seemed to have some slow eps. |

"AnaLucia" was on Good Morning America this morning. According to her, they're both dead and their contracts stated that they would not make it through season 2. My son was watching with us last night and quipped "that's what happens when you get a DWI in Hawaii". But - interesting stuff in the previews for next week. Hope Mr. Eko doesn't die in the fall - wish they'd make him more prevelant in the storyline. And.. what's up with Sayid? Why isn't he more involved with the goings on in the hatch? |

Ana-Lucia and her big mouth!!! Actually, I just read something (MSN, maybe?) alluding to the notion that the Lost producers did not want actors with DWIs under contract. Too bad about Libby! That was a pointless death, if in fact it was a death. That means at least one loose end will stay that way. |

hmmm.......could be Amie.... Loved the episode. I agree with Wendyn this definitely has to do with Walt, otherwise Michael wouldn't have aplogized for what he was doing. |

It was kinda hard to tell. I thought it was Claire, at first, until Jack's father started talking about his daughter. I don't recall - have they ever showed Claire's mother? |

How wild is this? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1401302769/sr=8-1/qid=1146760394/ref=sr_1_1/104 -1170530-2896747?%5Fencoding=UTF8 (the manuscript Sawyer was reading, also available as an audiobook on iTunes - the author's name is an anagram for...) I wonder if it plays into the LOST online game that launched this week - we watched this week's episode on DVR, but spotted the Hanso Foundation commercial while fast-forwarding. |

I'm loving this show again. Has anyone else looked at the Hanso Foundation web site? If you look at the Board of Directors page there's one blank space where a photo should be, and the name below it is "Liddy ..." Libby = Liddy? |

Too bad much of the episode was devoted to demonstrating what we'd figured out about Michael already. Still, it was good to see the rest of the case again; I'd been missing Sayid. The finale ought to be interesting. |
