All I can say is WTF?!! We just finished watching it. How the hell(o) did Chris end up with the least amount of votes? Everyone looked shocked when it was announced he was going home. Simon looked mad! Kat should have been the one leaving... I will not watch the rest nor will my sister and nephews!!! |

I've been doing that since it first started WORD HISTORY Charles C. Boycott seems to have become a household word because of his strong sense of duty to his employer. An Englishman and former British soldier, Boycott was the estate agent of the Earl of Erne in County Mayo, Ireland. The earl was one of the absentee landowners who as a group held most of the land in Ireland. Boycott was chosen in the fall of 1880 to be the test case for a new policy advocated by Charles Parnell, an Irish politician who wanted land reform. Any landlord who would not charge lower rents or any tenant who took over the farm of an evicted tenant would be given the complete cold shoulder by Parnell's supporters. Boycott refused to charge lower rents and ejected his tenants. At this point members of Parnell's Irish Land League stepped in, and Boycott and his family found themselves isolated—without servants, farmhands, service in stores, or mail delivery. Boycott's name was quickly adopted as the term for this treatment, not just in English but in other languages such as French, Dutch, German, and Russian. |

Miss Mc Phee is the next Am. Idol . . . It's fixed! Tonight is proof! She looks good and sounds great! So what if she can't sing ELVIS' tunes! Spastic Taylor will be the the next to leave the stage! Elliot is freakier looking than Clay Gaiken! Chris sucked, face it! He really screamed and sounded the SAME on every song. |

This was actually the first season I watched it. I can't stand any of the past winners so it's no skin off my teeth not to watch the last two weeks now that it seems to be fixed. My nephews were crushed when Chris was told he was going home. I think this will be the last time anyone in my family watches it. |

True. But I think some viewers of this show may boycott and Idol could see a DIP in their ratings. Which could be a GOOD thing! |

I can't take it all that seriously, but in the past I've found it pretty entertaining. Most of these kids can sing pretty well. Better than Britney, et. al. So, it's fun. But, this season just hasn't captured my attention in the same way. I think it's because there aren't really any singers who blow everyone else away, are amazing talents, etc. Mandissa had the potential. I think with another 5 years of experience, Paris will be there. Taylor is fun and, under the antics, I love the Joe Cocker voice. But, with Katherine still there, it seems to prove that things are manipulated. I guess ratings won't be as good if there isn't at least one female around until almost the end, huh? It's interesting, but nothing to get twisted about. IMHO. |

So much for the Boycott! My nephew's left me a note on my pillow - "Dear JTA," it says, "Mommie told us Idol tickets go on sale soon. Can you please get us tickets for our birthday? Twin number one says "I won't make you give me a dollar when you want me to go to the basement to get you soda for two weeks if you do. And since Sunday is Mother's Day, says twin number two, can you get one for us to give mommie for Mother's Day?" Me thinks they had a little bit of help writing that note! |
