If you like gardening, and Iris', head to Montcalir's Presby Gardens. They have 4000 varieties of Iris blooming now and for the next couple weeks.

Wow Maplewoody! My husband and I passed by on Saturday and your pictures are beautiful. I grew up in Montclair and my sister's first summer job in high school was tending to the garden there. It can sizzling hot out there and it's a lot of hard to maintain that landmark. The iris also happens to be one of my favorite flowers! Thanks for the photos...worthy of framing (especially the single flower close-up shot).

We go at least once every year. Memorial Day weekend is a good time to see the flowers near their peak. Don't forget to see the beautiful garden at the adjoining house. |
