Last night was the Spring Concert for the Bands from Columbia High School. The music was really great and so well played. All three bands included the Concert band, Symphonic and the Wind Ensemble; so the range of talent was phenomenal. Mr. Bauer has really provided wide selection for the students. The finale was made up of all three bands playing together on stage. The first piece was written for the Columbine High School Band and first played in 2000. Then they played a Scottish Ballad after he had recognized every senior and their college. The essence of this posting to say that the quality of music that is produced is worthy of every dime that is spent on the Arts and gives true credence to the importance of Arts in the lives of our children. |
