Since we discovered it via MOL, I thought I'd remind people that the Crawfish Festival is next weekend. We had a blast last year and will be there this year with our three-year-old and baby, dancing to music and ripping the heads off the mudbugs. http://www.crawfishfest.com/ |

We've been thinking of going this year, I like that it's back at the State Fairgrounds, now we're thinking of camping for the weekend. |

That crawfish is going to cost a pretty penny. It's a supply and demand thing and most of the supply got washed out with Katrina. Unless it's imported from Asia, but no one should be forced to eat that. |

I saw that tickets just to get in were $30 then you pay $8 per plate for food. Is this typical or is this so high because of Katrina? I don't think the $8 is unreasonable but the $30 entrance fee is quite steep if you just want to go eat some food! |

I think it was 25/person last year, which is the same if you buy them in advance. The tickets are really for the music, not the food. |

Crawfish is a better, cheaper version of lobster. At $8/plate, it's just a better version of lobster. |
