Any guesses as to how much time I need to allot to get from South ORange to the PNC by 5PM on a Sunday for a concert? I've never been there. And any suggestions on a route would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Straight down on GSP. It's about 35 miles or so. Shouldn't take much more than an hour but I'd leave 90 minutes to be safe. You are going against the return from the shore traffic on Sunday afternoon so shouldn't be too bad. We had the pleasure of visiting Red Bank recently which is close by the PNC and just a few minutes off the GSP. Very nice town with some cute stores & restaurants (many with ourdoor seating) and a really pretty water view. Worth a stop if you want to head out early and eat first.

Thanks! We lucked out and got orchestra seats for Springsteen. Do you know if it's indoors? This rainy weather has me worried.

It's an amphitheater. If you're in the orchestra, you will be sitting under the roof, but the structure is open. As long as you are not out on the field, you will be OK. (Maybe cold, but you will stay dry.)

Red Bank is exit 109 off the Parkway (you could also take 114, but it's a lot of back road driving to get there so you are better off with 109). Red Bank is, as Connied mentioned, a cute town, lots of cute shops and interesting restaurants.*

Orchestra for Springsteen? Have a great time!!

* I lived in Middletown, which is basically between Holmdel and Red Bank, for several years. Anything else I can tell you, please ask.

I always ask, too. You never know. There have been times when I actually have known the proverbial needle in the haystack!
