Columbia High School film students won most of the top prizes in the 2006 NJ Young Film and Video Festival. The films will be screened on Sunday, June 11 at 2 PM at the AMC Theatre at the Essex Green shopping center in West Orange.

In the high school category, first prize went to Cris Thorne for "The War on Peace."

Third Prize was awarded to "L’Envie du Moustache" by Samantha Gurry and Angie O’Keese.

CHS students also won Honorable Mention and Festival Citation awards.

Several of the film makers will attend and answer questions.

This event is sponsored by The West Orange Film Society, which was founded in 2004 in partnership with the West Orange Arts Council.
