I'm sorry, the name of the gallery is called ASHTAH's. It's a couple of doors down from Topf's Pharmacy. |

How long will the exhibit stay around? I will be in town after the 17th, and would love to see it. |

The quilts are BEEEEAUTIFUL! The very talented women quilters are members of the Nubian Heritage Quilters Guild and will be on display until June 17th. |

Are the quilts for sale or just for looking? (I love unusual quilts, and don't have any of the nubian variety) |

Yes they are, except for one (of which a poster of it is for sale - $25.). There is a program booklet at the entrance with information and a price list. There is also a couple of quilts that have a hand painted design applied to the fabric and quilted over. One of them used the colors of Monet. There is a great variety of styles. It's a must see for those who would like more exposure to the African-American experience in art. |
