"Amazing!" "Stunning!" "Innovative!" "Astounding!" These are the words that have been attributed to Alexander Kariotis and the Rock 'n Roll Orchestra. Alexander Kariotis has performed internationally as a leading tenor in various operas, symphony concerts and Broadway tours. On June 17th he brings his multi-media classical crossover show to the beautiful grotto-like backyard setting at Here's 2 The Arts. The evening will consist of a unique mix of rock and opera, and a multi-media feast backed up by his 12-piece band. Art will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers under the stars and there will be desserts and alcohol on the premises! Advance tickets available by calling (973) 762- ARTS. This will be packed, come early and bring chairs, since seating is limited. SATURDAY JUNE 17, 7:30 pm Here's 2 The Arts 97 Baker Street Maplewood, NJ 07040 $15 general admission $10 students & seniors Tickets: (973)762-ARTS http://www.Heres2theArts.com

The weather looks like it will be just beautiful for the show tonight. I hope lots of folks make it, including those who were unable to see us as a result of the cancellation of the show at the Burgdorf last month. Some new songs, new arrangements to the old ones and some new players in the band.....I promise you won't be disappointed (except perhaps with Art's burger flippin). Come have a glass of wine and listen to opera and rock and roll under the stars. The show starts early (7:30) and ends early (before 10:00) so there's pleanty of time to go catch some of the other great music in town afterward. See you all later. |

Thanks to all of those who came to the show last night and special thanks to Art and Willie for their hospitality and their drive to bring culture and live music to Maplewood. The "no thanks" award goes to the miserable neighbor who complained constantly about the noise and wasted the PD's time again and again. It will be a pure shame if her sh*tty selfish attitude keeps Art from having shows in that great venue. If you missed the show, you can catch us again at in Memorial Park as a close to the Maplewood Summer Concert series put on by Jim Buchannan. |
