Just got back from this wonderful re-creation of the 1920's Kurt Weill musical set to Bertold Brecht play. Very "expressionist" and evocative of Bauhaus and cubism's start. Really timely, given the reappearance of a massive American lumpenproletariat created by the current lack of economic parity and fairness in our society. Go see it.
Great music. Cindy Lauper is far from overbearing, really musical, and appropriate to her part as "Jenny." Surprisingly funny and satirical.
