Dylan? I think that may be the first album I purchased with my own hard earned money. |

I heard it for the first time as a senior in h.s. It was such a momentous occasion when a Dylan album was released, and someone who had laid their hands on it brought it into poetry class. Wonderful Mrs. Cole let us all hear it. Two students broke into a lindy when country pie came on, to everyone's delight. I love(d) the playfulness of that album, as well as its (overused word) soulfulness. |

Dylan was going through a period of domestic bliss when he did this album. I always liked his voice despite what people say but on N.S., he really tried to smooth out some of his rough edges. I've got a copy of him performing on the Johnny Cash show during this period and he looks so healthy and happy, the music reflects it. |
