"Little" Esther Phillips? Man, I had about a dozen of her LPs. She was great. She covered Dinah Washington's "What a Difference a Day Makes" and other great stuff. She is missed.

Jazz duo Courtney Sappington on guitar and Dave Richards on bass will be returning to Cent'Anni this Thursday evening. Courtney and Dave are New Jersey residents, Courtney right here in Maplewood and Dave in Bergen County. Both musicians are active in and around New York City and New Jersey and have toured extensively with a variety of artists. Cent’Anni provides an intimate setting in which to hear this outstanding jazz duo - if you caught them last time around you know what I mean; if you missed them do yourself a favour and catch them this time.
