I would like to take my girls to the festival nest weekend. What is the easiest way to get there it is on Jefferson and & 7th. thanks

There's a train that runs through town and goes straight to Hoboken.

Yes, definitely take the train as parking is awful any day in Hoboken and you certainly won't get anything near the festival. If walking is an issue, you can either take a cab from the train ($4 I think) or take the NJ Transit bus up Washington street to 7th and walk down to Jefferson.
