Just finished reading the book (the only decent title I could find at the grocery store here the boonies--been dying for something to read) and it was really good. Can't imagine how the movie would do it justice, but I'm sure it's fun nonetheless. The "Miranda" I pictured in my head while reading the book is nowhere near the Meryl portrayal of the character though. Seems the "Miranda" in the book was younger and skinnier! |

Meryl should get an award - great performance. She made the movie!! Thought the first assistant was great for supporting role --but the Anne Hathaway character just ok. She became stunning way too fast for her character but it must have been fun going through all those clothes and accessories. |

Saw a great cartoon the other day. Vladimir Putin sitting in a chair holding a newspaper, with a headline about him crushing dissent. The caption on the cartoon: The Devil Wears Pravda. |

Just finished the book two days ago and want to see the movie. Am not sure I like Anne in the assistant's role, but I will see. |
