Just finished reading the book (the only decent title I could find at the grocery store here the boonies--been dying for something to read) and it was really good. Can't imagine how the movie would do it justice, but I'm sure it's fun nonetheless. The "Miranda" I pictured in my head while reading the book is nowhere near the Meryl portrayal of the character though. Seems the "Miranda" in the book was younger and skinnier!

Meryl should get an award - great performance. She made the movie!! Thought the first assistant was great for supporting role --but the Anne Hathaway character just ok. She became stunning way too fast for her character but it must have been fun going through all those clothes and accessories.

Saw a great cartoon the other day. Vladimir Putin sitting in a chair holding a newspaper, with a headline about him crushing dissent. The caption on the cartoon: The Devil Wears Pravda.

Just finished the book two days ago and want to see the movie.
Am not sure I like Anne in the assistant's role, but I will see.
