AUGUST AUDITIONS FOR SONDHEIM'S 'ASSASSINS' ANNOUNCED BY
4TH WALL MUSICAL THEATRE
WHAT: Launching its tenth season in New Jersey, 4TH Wall continues its tradition of innovative musical theatre with the announcement of auditions for its Fall production of "Assassins". Bold, original, surreal, disturbing, thought-provoking and alarmingly funny, "Assassins" is perhaps the most controversial musical ever written. This most American of musicals lays bare the lives of nine individuals who assassinated or tried to assassinate the President of the United States, in a one-act historical "revusical" that explores the dark side of the American experience. From John Wilkes Booth to John Hinkley, Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and John Weidman (book) bend the rules of time and space, taking the audience on a nightmarish roller coaster ride in which assassins and would-be assassins from different historical periods meet, interact and, in an intense final scene, inspire each other to harrowing acts in the name of the American Dream.
WHO: NY Casting Director, Bob Cline, who has directed such smash 4th Wall hits as "Falsettos" and "A New Brain", is back to direct the theatre's 10th season opener. Mike Yesenosky musical directs. Auditions are open to all.
WHEN: Audition dates are August 13, 14 and 20.
Sign up starts at 6:30 with auditions starting at 7:00pm. Be prepared to sing something in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in your key. Reading from the script will occur at callbacks.
Performance Dates: November 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 17, & 18
WHERE: Auditions will be held at the 12 Miles West Center for the Arts at 562 Bloomfield Avenue in Bloomfield.

Duncan, I have heard of a couple people with the problem with the website. There is something you need to set, but I am not sure what it is. I will ask.
