My wife and I have a collection of 100's of books, mostly regarding art history and historical biographies. Does anyone know where we could donate these books? Thanks |

Given the subject matter of the books, suggest you first call the South Orange Public Library (762-0230) or Maplewood Library to see if they are interested. You might also be able to donate to some of the school libraries. You might want to private line Suzanne Ng, a MOL poster who is the South Mountain School librarian, to see if she thinks any of the school libraries might be interested. A quick Google search came up with three interesting-looking organizations that take books for various charitable purposes: www.housingworks.org/usedbookcafe/donate www.glpinc.org (Global Literacy Project) www.bridgeofbooksfoundation.org |

There's an organization that collects books for schools damaged by Hurricane Katrina. I've seen it mentioned on the Weekend Today show on Channel 4. |

From time to time Drew University has received donations of books, there is probably criteria and they don't take everything but Drew or maybe Seton Hall or other local Universities may be willing to accept. |
