ECSP is a pickup orchestra that's been rehearsing most of the summer, and is performing this Sunday, August 20, at 3 p.m. The venue is the Temple B'Nai Jeshurun, 1025 South Orange Ave., Short Hills.

Program is:

Chabrier: Espana
R. Strauss: Four Last Songs (Christina Suh, Soprano)
Schumann: Symphony No. 3

Karen Pinoci conducts.

Ah .. I remember the good old Essex County Summer Orch ... I played timpani and my son played percussion for the first two seasons. That was back in the day when Martin Sklar conducted.
