Anyone ever gone there? Most of the rides look (at least) moderately terrifying. My 10-year-old is thrilled at the prospect, but are there rides a 7-year-old (and her mother!) can do? |

I'm told that the critical height to be able to do the rides is 48 inches. Of course, that doesn't account for your stomach for the thrill/violence factor. |

My kids live in Warwick and have season passes to the Creek. They say there are a bunch of rides that are good for little kids (and chicken moms) and the big twisty one is scary on the first run but not bad after you have done it once. There is one that has a straight down drop that is also scary--called H2OhNo. Only my 9 year old did it, but he is also the only one who did RockNRoller Coaster at Disney (60 MPH start from dead stop in the dark, into a full upside down roll still in the dark) and the big drop at Blizzard Beach at Disney. They say the majority of rides at Creek are fine for little kids, though. |

Thanks all. We had a great time at Mountain Creek. It was a blast, even though some of the tamer areas (not toddler-tame, but one step up) were closed. My daughter was barely 48 inches in her water walkers; only one MC employee questioned whether she was big enough for the ride, but she did barely fit in the two-person rafts (wouldn't let her ride solo). The older kids (including, ahem, us) had a great time, even though some of the rides were downright terrifying. Most terrifying for my husband was trying to help a woman who had gone on the cannonball slide at the same time he did, only to announce when she hit the water that she didn't know how to swim. I particularly liked that the place was really clean and not at all seedy (unlike a water park we had gone to a few years ago). It was pretty crowded, but not unbearably so. |
