Attenion everyone. The MOL MOVIE, MARBLES, has been indefinately shelved. Those of you who made donations need only provide me with an address where I can return them. The loss of the space and subsequent search for one that fits the film has cost me a good deal of time and sadly a good deal of money. But I will reimburse anyone who contacts me. And the sooner y'all can do so, the faster I can close out the books on the film. It was a great idea and someday maybe I will get to make it. But that won't happen now not with a 7 thousand dollar budget. I am really sorry about this, I had wanted to make this happen so badly since so many people were interested in helping. But being basically a one man show I couldn't keep all the balls in the air between finding a location, interviewing crew, trying to work on the script so i would know what I was to shoot when the time came, and doing the paperwork for SAG. So those who donated to the cause, please contact me as soon as possible and I will make amends. Thanks for your support despite the failed result. Duncan M. Rogers |

Duncan, please save my donation for the future production of Marbles. I can only hope that cube farms are out there for you, maybe with downtime during the holidays? Nobody reading MOL works at a place with cubes? I find that hard to believe. Keep my donation and spend it on any future project; I will keep up my hopes for the MOL-inspired film. |

Duncan, hope you did not lose your marbles over this one. Wait for the next (unfortunate) downturn in the commercial real estate market and you will be able to find cube farms aplenty to film it in. p.s. When you do film it, you may want to include a scene with the dude xeroxing his naked bum and putting that where it will be seen when the bad guy starts scambling to pick up the marbles. Everyone is a screenwriter, eh? |

ESL ---too late for that the marbles are lost. And I am going to xerox my own butt and put in in the mail to all the commercial real estate a**holes I dealt with over the last month who, when they heard "want to make a film" immediately went into screw the guy over mode. Tom....You have to be straight up with me. That was not a small little donation and I don't want you to have any second thoughts. Seriously. And thank you to everyone else, really nice of you to have faith still, despite the problems with this one.

yes, Tom, two features that I cannot possibly finance myself so am shopping them around to smaller production houses. I just sent a screenplay to Trigger Street Independent, a small house run by Kevin Spacey, but is actually run by the brothers Hasser. We'll see. There is another smaller house in NYC that has both feature scripts and are looking at them for this years budget. Fingers are crossed cause the small one, Naked by the River, is about 175K and the other, Ball of Roses is about 625K. Just gotta find a nice rich short hills patron/patroness LOL |
