Thanks so much for posting this. Woo hoo!!!!! I can't believe I missed it! I turned it on when they announced winners for best writing, Earl won it over the Office Christmas party. I forgot to go back and watch the rest. I think, but am not sure, that if she's in the above picture, she's the woman on the left at the top of the triangle formed by the two women in the front on the left. It certainly looks like her and that person is certainly tall enough to be her. My sister told me she was wearing a black lace dress; can't tell. Of course I will confirm sometime tonight. Go Office! |

Cool beans. Congratulations to Wendy's niece. Don't watch The Office much--not really my type of humor. But I did happen to watch it one time when they went on a Booze Cruise on Lake Wallenpaupak! Had no idea the setting of the show was in Scranton. I found it very funny that "my" lake was mentioned in a popular, prime-time sitcom! When we first started coming here ages ago, no one I talked to had ever heard of it. Of course, the boat and scenery were completely wrong, but the general public doesn't know that. |

On behalf of my niece (who I will be calling tonight) thanks for the congratulations. She is quite deserving of this: a very, very nice, talented, hard-working and lucky individual. And of course she's funny too! |

Season Premiere Thurs. Sept. 21 9:30 after My Name is Earl. GT, let it grow on you. I think you'll love it and so will TS. And don't worry about not liking it; I'll still like you. Here's a better picture of her.
She's the woman in the middle. |

It's one of my favorite shows. Thanks for the trailer, Project. I cannot wait to find out what happens! Wendy, your niece must be uber-talented to write for that show - every episode is hysterically funny (in MHO, of course). Congrats! |

Wendy, so do they each get an award or do they have to share one? |

bets, thanks for the kind words. My niece is quite talented; I'll tell/brag more the next time we meet. But more important than being talented, she's a really wonderful, kind person. juju, you're the second person to ask me that. I don't know. I emailed my niece last night telling her congrats. We'll probably speak over the weekend and I'll ask (I also want to know where she got her outfit, or as someone else put it "who" was she wearing). My guess is that just one is given and will be kept by Greg Daniels, the developer/executive producer of the series, who gave the acceptance speech. |

I might be mistaken but I think that each person named on the Emmy win gets their own little statue. If that's the case, Wendy, make sure you see it and post a photo. YAY Wendy's niece! |

I'm not sure if it is the same as with the day-time emmy awards but..... My older sister just won an Emmy last year for her role as producer of the CBS news in Minneapolis. The show won the Emmy for best regional evening broadcast and everyone who works on the show was able to "purchase for a minimal fee" their own personal mini Emmy. The network gets to keep the original/big one. I'm not sure what the fee ended up being but that is how it works. I'm sure it's similar for an ensemble primetime show. CONGRATS to Wendy's niece-FANTASTIC show-one of my favorites! |

Another MOL/Office connection: I went to high school (in suburban Philadelphia) with the girl to Wendy's niece's left--Katie Flannery (she plays Meredith). I did probably four shows with her in high school--what a voice on her! VERY freaky to watch the Emmys and see her up there--it was awesome. |

How cool nora! And guess what? Jen's grandmother - my mom - lives in suburban Philadelphia (first Bala Cynwyd, now Haverford) having moved there 30 years ago. |

Congrats, Wendy's niece! And speaking of the genius that is The Office, here's a corporate video Ricky Gervais did for Microsoft that wasn't supposed to be released for public consumption (yeah, right!). http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=959125392868390030&q=office+microsoft Here's the "leak" story http://www.siliconvalleywatcher.com/mt/archives/2006/08/microsoft_offic.php |
