After all these years, The Reader has been accepted into yet another festival. And what is neat about this is that it is The Vermont International Film Festival in October. I will have had a short in that festival every year for the three festivals. The VTIFF will be the first festival to show all three of my shorts. I think its pretty cool, so I am heading up there to see The Reader up there. I missed Bust last October for some other reason I can't even remember. Plus I had sent my script of Naked by the River (a screenplay adapted from a stage play I starred in in '01) to InDigEnt because so many people I know have a connection to them and they all called on my behalf and I sent my stuff to Jake Abrahams. Well turns out that they are turning their focus to Television and the internet but after trading half a dozen or more emails with Jake he gave me the name of Kevin Spacey's partner at Trigger Street Independents. So who knows...maybe all this bad luck will turn around when I get the script, my films and the many recommendations to them. Fingers crossed. Cause otherwise I have to raise about 175K and I don't think even one of AskMeLaura's fundraisers is going to get anywhere close to that. So perhaps something is sprouting from the ashes of this particular phoenix. We shall see. Cheers. | ||
