After a stunning premier season, the Modern American Composer Series returns with a breathtaking program featuring woodwinds and brasswinds. MACS is proud to present music by Maplewood's own Stephen Wisner, and David Sampson of Morristown. Both of these composers have performed, taught, recorded, and been commissioned by groups around the world, and their music is simply gorgeous. You don't have to travel to NYC to hear thrilling modern chamber music. Join us again at MACS!

Met with Stephen Wisner last night, he says his players are really excited about the show. It's going to be a great program! This sort of concert is great for kids who are thinking about taking instrument lessons... they will be totally inspired by these fabulous players.

Thanks, Jamie. Done!

All, I'm working on a MACS website, and I've posted some video from the show "Colors & Textures" which featured the work of Joe Trapanese and also myself. Three of my pieces are now online, and I hope to add more video and audio from the other composers and other shows shortly.

Check 'em out:

Mood for String Quartet

Movement for String Quartet

Trio for Bassoon Viola and Piano
