I only saw the Apprentice once or twice so I didn't know the players really. A few months ago I was at a party for a radio station up in Westchester and Carolyn was there. Probably a big faux pas on my part but she gets introduced to me like "this is CAROLYN" dummy me says, "hi I'm M------ nice to meet you"...never realizing who she was. Later on I hear the buzz that she was Donald Trumps right hand girl on the TV show. DOH I'm sure she'll land on her feet | ||

Mr Zoesky1 golfs regularly at the Trump golf club out in Bedminster (no, he's not a member....that'll run you about $250K...but he is pals with one of the pros). He's seen Carolyn a bunch of times out there and says she's always been great....one of the guys....but has total deer legs. He says her legs are like sticks. Not that this has anything to do with anything. But I thought it was funny. | ||

I liked Carolyn. The show won't be the same without her. "Mr. Trump wishes her the best," said Trump spokesman Jim Dowd, who confirmed she is no longer with the company to The Associated Press. She had been chief operating officer of two of Trump's golf courses. Her leave-taking will have no impact on the upcoming sixth season of "The Apprentice," originating for the first time from Los Angeles, NBC said. Though production is completed, Kepcher was not part of the cast, which includes Trump children Ivanka and Donald Jr. It begins airing in January. Kepcher had become familiar to viewers as one of Trump's two sidekicks on the NBC series. She was often Trump's eyes and ears and sat beside him during boardroom sessions where one or more competitors would hear Trump declare, "You're fired." Kepcher's firing was attributed to excessive self-promotion as a star at the expense of her performance at her day job. | ||

Other, closest-to-her rumors have it that she quit a few days before The Post's gossip guru Richard Johnson decided that she was newly dumped, but all he could actually confirm was that the Trump organization says "she is no longer with us." Good luck to her in her new ventures. | ||

You're right, Patty. When I finally remembered to ask Mr Zoesky1 about this last night, it turns out he knew the entire inside story from his friends at Bedminster. In fact, he was actually there at Bedminster when Trump apparently showed up (in his helicopter no less) and wondered why Carolyn hadn't been around in five days to sign some papers that were necessary for day-to-day management of the club. Carolyn, you see, was general manager at Bedminster in addition to some other Trump golf properties. Trump was told that she hadn't been there in days but no one knew why. He apparently said, "That's it, she's out of here, ban her from the property." The next day (last Monday) she resigned. Not that this of importance to anyone else, but that's how it went down. She will be fine. She is apparently making $25K per speech on the lecture circuit right now. | ||
