Anyone heard of this band? Like em? Heard "Heaven" today and kind of liked the groove, reminded me of the Subdudes. Wonder if the rest of the album is any good.

Los Lonely Boys...heard a great interview with them a few months back on FUV..it may be archived in fact. Three brothers from Texas, may be Mexican-Americans I seem to recall..one is named Ringo. My kids like "Heaven" too (as do I)..its a really good pop song.

Duncan,

I heard on the radio that Los Lonely Boys are opening this Saturday night for Robert Randolph and the Family Band (I still think someone should try and get him to play locally because he hails from this neck of the woods and he is excellent) at Roseland Ballroom. Should be a fine show.

They are very good. I've been hearing them a LOT on WXPN (UPenn station). An excellent station btw, a bit more rockin' than WFUV - you can listen online via Windows Media Player at http://www.xpn.org

Bought the self titled CD yesterday and would have to say they are a great band to listen to, but not too closely. They are musically really good with a definate bow to Carlos Santana, but lyrically they are really immature. But hell, its a first album and "Heaven" and "Hollywood" are nice pop tunes. Some of the guitar work is smokin.
