Wonder what our town looked like early in the 20th Century? You’ll have the chance to find out at the postcard exhibit at the Durand-Hedden House on December 7, from 1-4. On display will be John Harvey’s popular vintage postcard collection, which forms the basis of a newly published Arcadia book on Maplewood in pictures. There will also be a display of beautiful turn-of-the century holiday postcards. Don't forget to drop by the Country Store for your holiday shopping. There will be holiday cards with pen-and-ink drawings by Cyrus Durand Chapman and Durand-Hedden postcards, along with popular gift items such as handmade redware pottery, tinware, hurricane lamps and lovely holiday decorations. The Durand-Hedden House is located at 523 Ridgewood Road in Maplewood; 973/763-7712.
