Any ideas on this one? The spouse has a Christmas party and needs help on getting back to Maplewood. He could get a train from Penn Station or Hoboken. What would be easier?

YES! Mr. G worked right near here for a long time. Take the ferry to Hoboken (pier about three blocks directly south of the seaport, drops you right at the train station. Easy and pretty to boot!

How long of a ride is it to Hoboken? He'll be leaving after 10 PM.

Thanks for the information!

There are boats at 10:00pm and 10:40pm. They make stops at WFC and Colgate in Jersey City so allow around a half hour for the trip.

The alternative is to walk (stagger) up either Fulton or John to the subway stop at Williams St and take the A, C, or 1(?) train to Penn Station.

Its the A, C, 2, or 3 to Penn at Fulton Street, no 1 and I don't think the C will be running there that time of night.

You'll want to take the Pier 11 Ferry to Hoboken South (where you can get on an NJ Transit Train). You can go to nywaterway.com to take a look at schedule.

The WTC PATH station is open again, just up Fulton from the Seaport. If it runs like it did before, it's 24/7.
