It played on TV last night. I meant to tape it but forgot. I'd love to see it! Thanks.

JTA strikes again with her generosity. You're a darling, and yes, I would accept it on any medium, including VHS.

Hey Tom It was really wonderful. It was the first musical that I ever performed in and was word for word accurate. We have it on Comcasts dvr, but am not sure how to copy it. jml |

Taping it now. I would have dropped it off on the way to my nephews' basketball game, but there is still an hour to go and we need to leave by 7pm. I'll leave it on your porch in the morning... The Princess and the Pea was one of my favorite fairy tales when I was younger. I still have a book of Hans Christen Anderson I got as a birthday gift long ago. (Tom you just need to PL me the house number again) |

I haven't seen it but I TiVo'd it. I can burn it to DVD but can't do VHS. But I'm local and can drop it off Tuesday evening. Not for resale. |

I saw it and it was wonderful - Tracy Ullman, Tom Smothers, Carol Burnett and the guy who played Dauntless - can't remember his name - were just perfect. It's going to be available on DVD starting tomorrow, or at least that's what they announced at the end of the show. |

Tom- I woke up late so I'm not going to have time to stop by this morning. I'll leave the tape on my porch for you. It will be on the picnic table bench with your name taped to it. Sorry. |

I thought it was dreadful! I don't recall the original story featuring what could only be called an incestuous mother-daughter relationship as portrayed by a really hammy Carol Burnett! Sir Dauntless (altho gorgeous) came across as a rake who really didn't want to marry his expectant girl friend at all. The prince and Tommy Smothers as the king were good, however, not worth sitting through the two hours. Bumps and grinds in a fairy tale? I would not have wanted to watch this particular performance with the kiddies! Tracy Ullman is just not "princess" material IMHO.
