Marie: Will this be appropriate for younger kids? Or is it geared to the teenage crowd?

It is a male name, short for Joaquim (Portuguese). It would be an odd name for a woman.

It's a slang word for female "parts," too, as in "quivering quim."

ES&L's,

The event will be an all ages show, but my hunch tells me that an "older" crowd will show.

Mr. T,

Here's some info on Quim which yes, really IS his name.

FtheP,

Not sure Paolo will be taking requests, but you can always ask...

yikes - $20! That's quite steep for a performance in a skate shop. I think the price might discourage non-students (like me) from attending, IMO.
