Even though his "comeback" was given alot of publicity, I knew something was very wrong that he wasn't on screen until very late. He was sitting with one hand on the table the other in his lap. It was very painful to listen to his slurred speech. I give him alot of credit for appearing in public. I hope he continues to get better. |

Dick Clark looked bad enough, but what in the world has Mariah Carey done to her breasts?? They look like watermelons! |

Guess I missed all the publicity about the comeback. Wasn't even really aware he had been sick. Just sort of happened upon Dick Clark a couple of minutes before midnight when we tuned in to watch the ball drop.
Anyway, it was sad and shocking. Dick Clark has always been timeless, now suddenly he's very "old." While I appreciate his determination to continue on, perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad thing to retire and pass the torch.
As far as Mariah is concerned, who the hell knows--or cares for that matter. Couldn't figure out if she was trying to be a pop star or a porn star. Only saw her briefly also. Thank goodness! |
