DLB: Ok here it goes: In Montclair there are two Japanese restaurants eerily similar in food selection. One is Dai Kichi and the other Sushi Hana. A while back one of the chef's from Dai Kichi left and started Sushi Hana. The menu was nearly identical but I always felt the quality of the fish was always better at Dai Kichi.

Recently Linda, part owner in Dai Kichi, left Dai Kichi and opened Ariyoshi in South Orange. Because she has brought with her her head chef the food is similar to the other restaurants but with, IMO, a nicer selection to choose from. The quality of the fish is excellent.

I actually think the space in Ariyoshi is better than both Dai Kichi and Sushi Hana as there is more room.

To sum it up I would contact Linda at Ariyoshi and ask her about a sushi party. She is extremely nice and very accommodating.
