Can anyone recommend a person to put in a sump pump in our basement? How much does it cost? Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken plumbers typically do these jobs. I've heard good things about Gateway (on this board) so give them a shot!

Give Gregory Waterproofing a call (Phone # somewhere on MOL). They're great. Sump pump and french drains are their specialty. Very reasonable.

EK,

Do you have anything now?

Does the hole for the sump need to be dug, the pipes run for the drain and the pump installed? or do you just need a pump replaced?

Later,
George

George -- we need a hole to be dug, pipes run and the pump installed. If you call a person in the Yellow Pages what you get is a hard sell for French drains to go along with the sump pump. Our flooding problem isn't terrible. It floods if we get 3-4 days straight of heavy rain and it especially floods in one area of the basement.

Gregory Waterproofing did French Drains for us and they've been fantastic. We already had a sump pump installed (it was done by the previous owners) so I'm not sure of the cost. Gary (the owner) really knows his stuff.

Give Gary a call 732-381-7928

I recommend Bonded Waterproofing. They put in the French drainage system and two sump pumps as well as the electrical outlets required for the pumps. Basement has been bone dry.

Overall Gateway does good work but is very pricey.
