My wife and I aren't good visionaries, and I'm thinking of using a design software to help us consider the layout of a refinished attic (simple redo, just a couple walls and new drywall/ceiling) Anybody have good recommendations for software? The last three I tried were way too difficult, and didn't look remotely like an actual house interior.

I know it sounds silly, but this applet from Better Homes and Gardens website helped me with my basement...

Right below that is a link to their software that has colors and stuff.

I have used it and its pretty easy. I can't find my copy or I'd give it to you...sorry

I use Punch home design
you put in the dimension - it gives youa virtual walk thru, blueprints, materials list, everything. I have used it to completely redesign 2 houses and it is great.

I just bought Punch, but I have to admit that I have barely opened the package. It LOOKS like its going to be great, though.
