Our sump pump keeps draining every few minutes (literally). This leads me to believe there is a problem with it. Perhaps the piping is clogged? Perhaps there is some other problem? Who would be the right person to have take a look at this (a plumber?)? Thanks in advance for any thoughts about what the problem might be and who can solve it. |

i have the same issue. sounds like some old 2-packs-a-day-since-the-age-of-13 smoker clearing his throat every 15 minutes. but it does kick water out every time, so we figured it was normal. looking forward to feedback... |

With rain like we've had today, my pits refill in under a minute after the pump clears them, so the pump (I actually have two) is working almost constantly. Is this a new thing, bmp? ...sounds about right to me. |

Call Gateway. Love Gateway. They are local so, by default (given the high water table in this area), are sump pump experts. My old sump pump ran constantly. Gateway actually widened my sump pump hole considerably (it had been abnormally small - so it filled up with water as soon as it emptied out). They also installed a new pump and a water powered back up pump. The wider/bigger hole did the trick - our sump pump doesn't run often at all anymore, even when it is rainy. |
