We live in a dormerized cape with a tiny crawl space above the second floor and beneath the "peak" of the roof. I have never been in the crawl space and I don't even know how to get in (there may be a trap panel in the linen closet). The crawl space is used only for ventilation (we have an exhaust fan and vents on each end of the house, beneath the peak) Recently we have heard sounds of something running in the attic. We first heard it two weeks ago in the early morning, just before the garbage men arrived. Since then, we have only heard it at night, just before we go to bed. So here are my questions:
A) What do you think it is?
B) How might it have gotten in there? (the entire roof was replaced one year ago, so that should be in good shape)
C) How do we get rid of it? Or who should we call?
D) How much should it cost (roughly)?

Dawn noises? Raccoon or a possum, I guess it might be a squirrel.

You would be amazed at the tiny spaces one of those damned things can squeeze into.

Buckingham Pest Control.

I don't think it will be all that expensive, really... my swag would be $200.

A) What do you think it is? Ghost!
B) How might it have gotten in there? It's an apparition.
C) Who you gonna' call? GHOSTBUSTERS!
D) How much should it cost? I'm still thinking about the Ghostbusters... You know the song, come on!

When there's somethin' strange...

In your neighborhood...

Hope this was helpful.

A lot of noise often = squirrel. A nightime chewing/scraping noise = mice. Either way you need an exterminator. I recommend A-Eastern Pest Control(973) 736-5041. It's a family business, not a huge franchise, and the people are very friendly, honest and reasonable.

Good luck!
