Ok, I prefer glazed floor tile cause it will clean better, I presume. Hubbie says others have more traction. Lots of tiles these days emulate stone , though neither of us is too into stuff that looks like what it is not. Is it hard to keep non-glazed tiles clean? I'd like to spend under 5.00 a square foot, if possible--any brand recommendations? |

Have not looked, but I'm wondering if you would even find tumbled tile that is reasonable priced. With glazed, there is a satin finish that has a bit more grip (I'm thinking American Olean sp?- think it's called SatinGlo or something)...also, smaller tiles are more slip resistant, I believe. |

I always suggest Jasco Tile on the center island of Route 22 in Union. This isn't a fancy looking place, but they are knowledgeable and their prices are great. |

We're using glazed 1x1 tiles on our shower floor and we've been reassured by many that with such a small tile, there's plenty of grout to provide the necessary traction. Of course grout is a pain to clean too . . . |
