Can anyone give me a primer on replacing a boiler? WE currently have oil, but I was thinking we should convert to solar hot water with a gas boiler. I want to be educated on this topic as to the benefits of staying with oil vs. changing to gas. I suspect if I call our oil company, they'll say oil is best, and if I call the gas company, they'll say gas is best. Any advise would be appreciated.

Of course this has to happen in the middle of January - not later in the year so I have actual TIME to think about this!!!
