Looking for a fairly priced person or shop to reupholster 2 chairs and a sofa. Have gotten some huge quotes and wondering if I am seeing the right people. Any recommendations ? |

Ultimate Upholstery on Valley St. I think at that point it's South Orange. They are very reasonable and do a good job. |

Terminal Mill Ends on Stuyvesant Ave in Union has done excellent work for us. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive, either. |

Another vote for Ultimate Upholstry. They've done several things for me and I've always been very pleased with the end result. They do beautiful work. And they pick up and drop off, which is nice too. And, yes, it's on Valley in SO, right near Pathmark. |

If it's helpful to know, I researched reupholstering my sofa and found that I was not that attached to my sofa afterall and I'm buying a new one! I don't think it matters who does it, in terms of price, Reupholstery is extremely expensive. (From 3 places, one of which was suggested to you, I was quoted btwen $800-$900 to reupholster a 72 inch sofa with 2 long back cushions and two seat cushions NOT INCLUDING FABRIC) |

Yup, it is very expensive, but if it's a high quality piece that cost thousands, or something acquired inexpensively, it could be worth it. |

A less expensive option might be slipcovers instead. |
