The previous owners of our house had a really old security system in the house with wires ALL over the place, leading to every window, every door, in every room. We decided to have a handyman remove the wires and did not realize that half the wires were embedded in the wood around the windows and the woodwork on the floor. Now it all has to be repaired and some of the woodwork completely replaced. Can anyone recommend a good carpenter/professional who can replace/repair woodwork and do a great job?

I've had a really good experience with Carriage House in Summit.

Just FYI, this stuff is NOT cheap! Our moldings are original walnut (stained), and its been an experience to say the least.

If your woodwork is painted, you might be in luck.

Thanks for the referral, Case..we have asked our handyman/carpenter to take a look and see if he can handle it (our moldings aren't as nice as yours are, I think) and if not, we will call carriage house.
