Ellen P--
It was great meeting you. Our family is still interested in the swingset, we are just working out the logistics. I'm thinking we should just rent a huge truck and only take the thing apart in 3 or 4 pieces. I'm waiting to hear back from a friend of ours on helping us do that and install it as well. We expect to be able to pick up before the middle of March, but if not, then definitely before April 1 (which I think you said you needed it out by then).

Thanks again and as predicted. . .we "misplaced" your number :-) I'm sure it's around but I'm at work and just wanted to let you know that we are definitely coming to buy that swingset from you

I have the same swingset purchased from Costco. We've had it for 5 years and it still looks great. You will need to prepare the a surface area where you plan to place the swingset. I dug out the area by about 6-10 inches - this area was filled with cedar mulch. The swingset was built on top of this. I placed a coat of shelac and varnish to give additional protection for the wood. Early every spring a sray it down with water and when dry apply the yearly light coat of varnish. The only mistake I made was not securing down the legs into concrete. I attempted another method that works but is a little Rube Goldbergish. It will work as long as the kids are still relatively small will have to make adjustments this summer with concrete.
