We are installing central air and will (finally) be getting rid of the through-the-wall air conditioning unit. Problem, of course, is the giant hole in the wall. Any reconmmendations for dealing with this or contractors that can handle? Cost? Thanks. |

I'm going to have the same challenge and the Central Air guy had an interesting idea - have a stained glass window put in. Of course, this is only if it is located in an area that makes sens. p.s. Which Central Air contractor did you go with? |

i had wall-through ac's removed. they just patch the wall inside and out, fill with insulation and re-shingle. no biggie. |

i need an answer to this question also! we have one ugly one that needs to be tossed. I'd rather take care of it myself, bt then there's the wood siding that needs to go on the outside so I don't think I'll be able to do it myself. |

any contractor or carpentry place can do it, you guys. it's not some specialty or anything. |
