We're having tile replaced in our small master bathroom, which is 33 square feet. Just got an estimate of $800, $1000 if we use stone or granite. Does this seem reasonable? Also, any recommendations for ceramic vs. stone? Our kitchen floor is stone material and it gets COLD, so a little wary of this... |

My sister used the electric radiant for tiles. She said you have to run it all the time as it take hours upon hours for the tiles to actually heat up. Hot water radiant is much faster. |

Seidperson, there is another thread on this subject active on the board. Does your price include the tile or not? Removal and replacement of the toilet and vanity? Removal of exisitng floor? There are a lot of variables. |

Seidperson, try giving John Bell a call - (973)342-4297. He does a great job & works alone so his prices are pretty good. |

Having done tile jobs myself (as a non pro) that is a great deal. Most good tile installers have wholesale deals worked out with certain tile distributors and you can go purchase the tile at the wholesale rate. A good tile job will last a lifetime. A bad one will be in your face every time you walk into the room. $1000 is not that much in the big scheme of things. |

Labor alone for laying tile is usually $10.00 S.F. So take it from there....Sounds like alot of money for what you say does not include tile. PL me for a quote. |
