I've had 2 handymen in and mentioned how F(&*(^^ cold it is in my bathroom - almost unbearable. Can't get a decent answer. There's a small baseboard heater in there, and it actually works, but OH MAN is my bathroom (and actually the room next door to it) is FREEZING. Does anyone know who I can call to get some kind of answer to this?

I'd guess it's an insulation and/or window issue. Lots of the old houses around here were not very well insulated. After we had insulation blown in before we painted one year, we noticed a LOT of difference! Particularly in our finished attic which used to get super cold and unbearably hot in the winter/summer. We had insulation blown into the ceiling and into the crawl spaces (which we then had a floor put over and now we have great extra storage!) Good quality storms or replacement windows will do a lot to improve comfort too.

Good luck!
