I have some really simple things that need to be done and will probably take very minimal time, but my GC doesn't want to tackle them for various reasons. I have a nasty old utility sink and a gas dryer in the basement. Both need to be removed so I need a plumber to cut off the water and gas supply properly in order to remove them.... at least, I think that's who I need. Would a plumber be able to turn off the gas feed too? Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Plumbers absolutely work with gas feeds. Try Joe Fischetti - (973) 762-2759. He did a washer/dryer line installation for me, very fast and very reasonable prices. |

All true reco's, there are some excellent plumbing contractors in town...however, for small jobs it's hard to get the best guys out there quickly....call Maplewood Sewer and Drain...he does ONLY small jobs for that reason, and it's great to have his number handy. http://www.sewerdraincleaning.com/ |

I second Maplewood Sewer and Drain. AAMOF, I just spoke to Ronnie last night. He was having transmisson trouble with his truck but chatted anyway and gave me some free advice on dealing with my persnickety water heater. He's always very helpful and doesn't mind the smaller jobs. I think he genuinely likes people and building relationships, referrals, etc. |
