We want to have someone come in and dry out and then finish our basement. Does anyone have someone that can do both things? With whom you have had a good experience and with whom you would work again?
Thanks, one and all, in advance for any names/numbers you would be willing to provide.

I wanted to get this posted before that silly law gets enacted about bulletin board operators being held to account for postings on their site

I was going to post something like "what about the guy who did your bathroom"?

But, that would not be very helpful.

Actually, someone recently posted about someone who did their basement & was very happy. Maybe try a search? I remember thinking that I would call the guy in the future.

"Dry out" sounds scary. If you basement is wet enough to require french drains, you are probably going to have that work done by a specialist, before getting into basement finishing.

Good Luck.

But seriously folks,
We did the same project not long ago, Duncan. When we were getting estimates, one contractor could do soup to nuts but we found that the french drain/sump pump part was way more expensive going that route with that particular contractor...may not be the case with everyone though - I think, as Greentree says, that someone posted about just such a job & was very happy.
In any case, we used Gary/Gregory Waterproofing & found him to be incredibly into doing a good job on waterproofing...his prices were in line with other waterproofers I think (per foot fee).
We liked our contractor, but have had a hard time getting him back for the punch list (which is growing - just little things)...PL me if you want more info.
