We're looking for new tile for our bathroom floor. We've checked out Standard Tile on Rt 10 and World of Tile on Rt 22. Any other suggestions? We're looking for a black and white pattern for the floor.

If you've been to world of tile, why do you post?

That's the complete store. I think white octagon with black diamonds is awesome. You can geet that anywhere.

If you want to see a selection of beautiful tile go to Virtue in Summit.

Not a beautiful store like Virtue, less high-end selection...but maybe try Jasco on Rt 22...I have had good luck there

Nemo Tile in NYC is also good, and it's where I bought our black/white floor tile for the powder room. I found some really nice looking less expensive classic looking tile there, as well as the more upscale versions. http://www.nemotile.com/

I also bought some of the "classic" (and more expensive) floor and wall tile at subwaytile.com for our "main" bathroom. They have the hexagon-style floor tile and lots of classic subway tile.

Jasco has a large selection of tile and can order what they don't have. The salespeople are very knowledgeable. Prices are excellent.

I just went to Jasco and found them very helpful (but World of Tile was closed, so can't compare!).

We found Virtue impossible to deal with. Felt like the doctors' wives opened a store for a hobby and couldn't be bothered with us. Mediterranean tile on Route 46 was nicer AND cheaper.

Our kitchen contractor recommended Ideal Tile on Route 46. Nicer showroom and stuff, better selection of what we were looking for - and the prices of similar items were the same as Jasco.

We found the selection at World of Tile on Rte 22 absolutely dreadful. We've had some luck at Standard Tile, haven't had the chance to check out some of the other places noted on this thread.

World of Tile is worth a visit. The proprieter is an expert on mid-70's tile. While we were there he matched a weird apricot tile that someone brought in after a few seconds thought. The fancy toilets and sinks they have in the back are really weird.

I'm in the midst of looking for tile, too. Jasco was very helpful. I thought Standard Tile on Rt 10 had a slightly better-quality line of possibilities, but staff wasn't really nice/incredibly helpful. We also hit World of Tile, which definitely felt like a trip back to the '70s. They had a good selection. Last, we looked at Belstone, which is in Newark. Much smaller selection, but cheapest of them all.

P.S. I was curious about Standard Tile since recommended above, but not up for getting to Rt 46. There's one on Rt 10 (and Rt 22, but I will do ANYTHING to avoid driving on it). Rt 10's address is 320 Rt 10 West, East Hanover. Phone 973-884-4933

Oops. I meant to look up Ideal Tile, but because I'm so sleep-deprived today (kid with stomach bug last night) I looked up the same store I went to today. Sorry.
