Ours seems a bit small compared to others we've seen. Right now it's just brick--is it possible to carve out more of the brick to create a larger opening? |

Bob, that's cute. Michael, why wouldn't you recommend it? Bad for the chimney or dangerous in some way? Too expensive? |

Your fireplace is likely to be an original coal fireplace. They are shallow. Does this sound like yours? Not advisible to carve out anything from your fireplace. It will collapse. |
