Can anybody recommend a company to replace a driveway and to install a cobblestone (Belgian block) border? Parts of the driveway flood, so I am especially interested in companies that can deal with drainage, or maybe raising the driveway above the flood level (if that is possible). Thanks.

Thanks, Matt/Farida. Any other recommendations for driveway companies generally? I hope to get at least three quotes.

We used M. Rizzi Construction for a driveway and belgian block border, they did a nice job.

Diaz did a fine job our ours and our neighbors. They also dealt with our drainage issues and added belgian block to our neighbor's driveway.

Call Joe Cocuzzo/Cocuzzo Paving 908.647.7426. I found him on MOL. He did ours last year. Fixed the drainage issues and gave us a choice of re-setting our belgian block or giving us new ones. We're really happy with the results.

Word of caution about Diaz. Many of our neighbors used them for sidewalks and driveways and I guess they were fine, but when we used them for our driveway, they did an unusual thing.

While paving the driveway, they decided to grade it where the part nearest the garage was higher than the garage floor. creating a 4 inch lip/step down into the garage. A garage floor lower than the driveway. We would have to back out over a 4 inch lip to get up on the driveway. This struck me as weird and a water disaster waiting to happen in the garage.

After a lot of negotiation, they redid part of the driveway. It's fine now, but has a seam in it where they repaved.

Thanks all. I left messages for Zavocki, M. Rizzi, Cocuzzo, and Giordano, but cannot find a number for Diaz. I hope they all call back.
