I like these bulbs for their lower power consumption and much longer life. However, I can find none that are dimmable and they ALL seem to contain mercury, meaning I won't put them in the trash and now have many waiting for the one Essex County day per year for hazardous waste recycling. I have never remembered it, btw, not once in almost 9 years here! Any ideas? Illuminate well and responsibly, all. David |

I've always hoped that HD, Lowes, or Costco would carry the dimmable variety. I purchased LightWiz brand bulbs from eBay and have been happy with them. The seller was "goodeal4u2002" and the bulbs came quickly via USPS. I wouldn't worry too much about the mercury issue, there is an average of 5 milligrams of mercury in each bulb. A standard home thermometer contains between 500 milligrams and 2 grams of mercury! (info from the web)
